ADULT VOLUNTEER
REQUIREMENTS
This application is the first step to becoming a volunteer with our organization. We do require all (selected) adult volunteers to meet for a short in-person interview, and to attain Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Checks and complete a Child Abuse Reporting Protocol, as well as sign a confidentiality agreement, consent forms, volunteer code of conduct, and undergo the orientation process.
Volunteer Role Opportunities
Drop-In Volunteer: Help with signing in youth to drop-in times and with registering for membership. Prepping snacks and/or cooking/baking with youth. Participating in or leading activities/games. Help with cleaning of the centre before/after drop-in. Note: this volunteer role is not suitable for parents/guardians of youth who are attending/want to attend drop-in times.
Events/fundraisers Volunteer: Help with organizing/planning events/fundraisers, set-up/take-down of events/fundraiser, attend/volunteer at event/fundraiser, work collaboratively alongside other adult/youth volunteers.
Renovations/Maintenance Volunteer: Help with a variety of renovations (painting/building/maintenance/repairs/etc.), major cleans/organizing, and other related tasks at the centre.
Program/Activity Volunteer: Have a skill, hobby, educational knowledge, and/or passion that you’d like to share/teach with the youth? Share your ideas with us and we can collaborate on developing a program/activity for youth!
Other: There are many ways to volunteer outside of these roles, if you have any ideas on other ways for how you'd like to volunteer with us, let us know!
